Betfred is a well-known name on the iPoker Network. Previously a brick and mortar sportsbook business that has operated for over 40 years, Betfred opened up their online poker room in 2005. Betfred does not accept players from the United States but instead focuses on players from Europe, Canada and much of the rest of the world.
Players signing up at Betfred through Betfred will be eligible for a special first deposit bonus of 100% up to $1000. To clear the bonus, players must earn 50 Points per $1 of bonus money. Points are earned according to the rake taken from the table when a contribution to the pot has been made (see VIP Club Point accumulation chart below). As players move up in VIP status levels, they will earn points at a faster rate. At the lowest level, the bonus is worth the equivalent of 30% in loyalty rewards. Bonuses expire after 3 months and release in $5 increments.
Betfred does not offer rakeback but instead offers a VIP program that awards such perks as VIP freeroll entries, monthly cash bonuses based on a percentage of Points earned during the previous month and of course, faster accumulation of Points. VIP status level is determined by the number of Points earned during the previous month. See chart below for details on how Points are earned at various status levels as well as how many Points are required to achieve a VIP status level.
